The Expert at the Card Table (Frederick & Drake, 1908)

Probably THE most well-known of all cheating titles. The author’s true identity remains a contended mystery even with lots of research going on by many scholars including Richard Hatch, Jeff Busby, Martin Gardner, Bart Whaley, Jason England, David Ben, among others. The contents, published in 1902, are comprehensive and very much applicable at that age, and the concepts the author preaches caused the famous magic icon Dai Vernon to develop a new era of close-up magic.

Many publishers have reprinted the book over the years. Here are just a few of them.
