In this set, the bowl itself is not gaffed. However, both the dice and the cup are magnetic. The magnetism level is not strong and isn’t very easily detected.

The tape pasted on the cup indicates a direction and is not used in actual play. A wide array of other kinds of less conspicuous markings are used to replace the tape. In essence, when covered, the dice will flip once in the direction that the tape is pointing towards.

The shaking of the dice is very light and is an acquired knack. If given to a normal person, the shake is unlikely to yield any result with this same gaff. Unlike pure magnetic bowls / plates with strong magnetic dice, where any magnetic field can cause an immediate change in result, this gaff is more subtle and is preferred for such.
